This effort aims to improve the quality of life for the inhabitants of the involved territories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activity Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Presided over by Jos\u00e9 Miguel Carvajal Gallardo, Regional Governor of Tarapac\u00e1, the forum brought together governors and representatives from various subnational states. During the event, two new commissions were established: the Sustainability Commission and the Citizen Participation Commission, with a Gender and Indigenous Peoples Perspective. These commissions represent a strategic and social advance in the development of the corridor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognitions and Consultations:<\/strong> The initiative of the IDB, developed by Salta, Antofagasta, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Boquer\u00f3n, was highlighted and congratulated. Consultations were made with Leonardo Diniz, IDB representative, and Alejandra Rald, in charge of the Master Plan, regarding the action plan that includes strengthening government management and infrastructure. <strong>Importance of the Private Sector:<\/strong> The crucial role of the private sector in the development of the Corridor was recognized, and the previous work with private actors was valued, opening the door to future collaborations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Creation of the Executive Commission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The seven regional governments agreed to create an &#8220;Executive Commission,&#8221; with a professional designated by each Subnational State. This commission aims to energize the Corridor, develop analyses and proposals, and coordinate the technical work of the various commissions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working Commissions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the event, meetings of various working commissions were held, addressing topics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Citizen Participation with a Gender and Indigenous Peoples Focus<\/li>\n<li>Tourism Commission<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability Commission<\/li>\n<li>Academic Commission<\/li>\n<li>Public Works, Logistics, and Transport Commission<\/li>\n<li>Trade and Border Procedures Commission<\/li>\n<li>Municipalities Commission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Importance of the Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The IV Forum reaffirmed the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor as a pillar of cooperation and development, reinforcing the commitment to improve infrastructure, governance, and integration among nations.
