{"id":3125,"date":"2018-06-04T12:49:20","date_gmt":"2018-06-04T15:49:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corredorbioceanico.org\/?post_type=actividad&#038;p=3125"},"modified":"2025-01-13T18:07:31","modified_gmt":"2025-01-13T21:07:31","slug":"reunion-grupo-de-trabajo-salta-junio-2018","status":"publish","type":"actividad","link":"https:\/\/corredorbioceanico.org\/en\/actividad\/reunion-grupo-de-trabajo-salta-junio-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"VI Working Group Meeting of Salta &#8211; 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Activity:<\/strong> VI Meeting of the Working Group of the Bioceanic Road Corridor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> June 4-5, 2018<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Salta, Argentina<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participants:<\/strong> Representatives and authorities from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Paraguay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives:<\/strong> The main objective of the VI Meeting was to continue the development of the Bioceanic Road Corridor, which connects Campo Grande, Brazil, with the ports in northern Chile, and to strengthen cooperation among the involved countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working Groups:<\/strong> During the meeting, four working groups focused on different key aspects of the project:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public Works, Logistics, and Transport:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Topics covered:<\/strong> Work plans and schedules, service areas and logistics centers, homologations and costs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results:<\/strong> Priorities were defined, and specific timelines for the works were established.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Production and Trade:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Topics covered:<\/strong> Productive capacities, products and value chains, industrial areas, and trade flows.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results:<\/strong> Opportunities to enhance trade and production in the participating countries were identified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Simplification of Border Procedures:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Topics covered:<\/strong> Evaluation of simplified procedures in customs, migration, and sanitary controls.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results:<\/strong> Proposal to implement electronic systems for cargo traceability and to streamline border procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>University Network:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Topics covered:<\/strong> Analysis of capabilities in response to the corridor&#8217;s demand, development of websites, information, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results:<\/strong> Planning of research and development projects to support the corridor&#8217;s growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conclusions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advances and results from each working group were presented and discussed.<\/li>\n<li>Short- and medium-term tasks for each area were defined.<\/li>\n<li>Visits to the ongoing works were conducted, and commitment acts were signed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Observations:<\/strong> The meeting strengthened cooperation and coordinated efforts among the participating countries, reaffirming the commitment to advance the development of the Bioceanic Road Corridor.
