The province of Jujuy strengthened its regional integration agenda together with Brazilian authorities within the framework of the Bioceanic Capricorn Corridor.
The Government of Jujuy, through the Provincial Agency of the Bioceanic Corridor of Capricorn (CBC), continues to strengthen its regional integration agenda through articulation actions with international organizations and authorities linked to the strategic development of the corridor.
In this framework, the Executive Secretary of the Provincial Agency of the Bioceanic Corridor of Capricorn, Alejandro Marenco, held a working meeting with the president pro tempore of the Commission of National Coordinators for the Bioceanic Corridor of Capricorn, Daniela Benjamin, with the aim of addressing the main conclusions arising from the technical tables of the VII Forum of Subnational States of the Capricorn Corridor. held in Jujuy in October 2025.
Consolidating institutional links
During the meeting, the importance of continuing to consolidate institutional ties between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Province of Jujuy was ratified, in line with the strategic vision promoted by the governor to promote regional integration and economic development in northern Argentina.
Likewise, the progress made in bilateral cooperation was highlighted, including the official visit of the Brazilian ambassador to the provincial president, the training in Portuguese language for teams of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the progress of the agreements signed with the State of Mato Grosso do Sul in the area of education.
These initiatives will promote the teaching of Spanish and Portuguese for public sector workers, strengthening tools for integration and institutional cooperation between both territories.
In another part of the meeting, Ambassador Benjamin requested information on the technical contributions that Jujuy has been developing in the different tables of the Forum, particularly on issues related to safety, health, road safety and regional coordination.
In this sense, the Provincial Agency presented the initiatives promoted by Jujuy in the recent technical meeting held last Monday, where the need to advance in the unification of weights and measures for the transport of cargo and in the strengthening of joint coordination mechanisms in the face of emergencies of different kinds was raised. axes considered a priority to improve the operability and competitiveness of the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor.
