Jujuy reaffirms its strategic position in the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor

The Province participated in the XIX Argentine Congress of Traffic and Roads, where it spoke about the strategic role of Jujuy in the consolidation of the Bioceanic Corridor of Capricorn as a new axis of South American integration.
The Government of Jujuy, through the Provincial Agency of the Bioceanic Corridor of Capricorn, participated in the XIX Argentine Congress of Traffic and Roads, held in Mendoza and organized by the Argentine Highway Association (AAC), the Government of Mendoza and the Federal Investment Council (CFI).
The executive secretary of the Agency, Alejandro Marenco, spoke together with Suleimar Rosa, representative of the Government of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in the panel “Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor, new axis of the South American road network”.
During the presentation, advances in road infrastructure, strategic projects and pending challenges to strengthen the connectivity and competitiveness of the corridor were addressed.
The participation made it possible to reaffirm the positioning of Jujuy as a geopolitical, logistical and strategic border node of the Bioceanic Corridor, highlighting the role of the Jama Pass and the need to continue strengthening its infrastructure and operational capacity.
In this scenario, the Provincial Agency promotes an agenda aimed at consolidating the Corridor not only as a means of transport, but as a platform for integration, productive, logistical, tourism and territorial development for Jujuy and the region.
