Event: VII Meeting of the Working Group of the Bioceanic Road Corridor

Activity Objective
The main objective of the meeting was to evaluate the progress in the implementation of the Bioceanic Road Corridor and discuss strategies to improve efficiency and coordination among the participating countries (Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile).
Activity Description
The opening ceremony was led by the Deputy Minister of Economic Relations and Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, Ambassador Juan Ángel Delgadillo. Also speaking were the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications of Paraguay, Pedro Britos, and the National Director of Strategic Territorial Planning of Argentina, Julián Álvarez Insúa. The National Coordinator of Chile, Roberto Ruiz, closed the session.
During the first day, representatives from the delegations gave presentations on the topics of the working groups:

Key Agreements and Advances Pilot Plan: The National Coordinators agreed on the need for a Pilot Plan to streamline border procedures. Chile committed to presenting a Pilot Plan project before the next meeting. Digital Platform: It was agreed to set up a digital platform for projects associated with the Bioceanic Corridor. Argentina offered a platform model for evaluation. Digital Tourism Map: The delegations committed to developing a digital map of tourism offers and services. Business Directory: Brazil committed to developing a directory of companies by sector within the Bioceanic Corridor, with support from the other delegations. Trade and Investment Studies: The importance of deepening studies to identify sectors, products, and services with trade and investment potential was highlighted.
Conclusions
The participants thanked the Government of Paraguay for its hospitality and confirmed that the VIII Meeting will be held in Campo Grande, Brazil, on August 21-22 of the current year.
