VI Forum of Campo Grande

Date: February 17-19, 2025

Objective
The event aimed to bring together representatives from Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and other countries, focusing on the development and regional integration opportunities provided by the Bioceanic Road Corridor. This project seeks to strengthen connectivity and cooperation among the four countries, promoting sustainable growth, infrastructure improvement, and the strengthening of local economies.

Description
The event, chaired by Eduardo Riedel, Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, brought together political leaders, businesspeople, representatives of international organizations, and infrastructure experts from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Paraguay. During the forum, the Governors’ Summit, the working committee meetings, and the International Seminar on the Bioceanic Route took place:

Governors’ Summit
Governors and authorities met to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor as a catalyst for regional integration and a promoter of sustainable development and regional connectivity, aiming to improve the quality of life of their inhabitants.
The Governors’ Summit was chaired by the Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, Mr. Eduardo Correa Riedel. The topics discussed were as follows:

• Master Plan for Integration and Development of the CBC.
• Corporate Image and Website of the Forum.
• Guidelines for the operation of the Forum of Subnational Territories of the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor.
• Technical Secretariat of the Forum under the responsibility of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
• Pro Tempore Presidency 2025. Location and date of the VII Meeting of the Forum.
• Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Province of Jujuy, Argentina, and the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.
• Technical Committees.

International Seminar on the Bioceanic Route
With the attendance of over 1000 participants, the “International Seminar on the Bioceanic Route” was held at the “Centro de Convenções Arquiteto Rubens Gil de Camilo”. On February 19, thematic panels on the private sector, infrastructure, technology and innovation, customs, social impact, and the presentation of the Master Plan structure were held.
